Join us for "Carving for Kids," Saturday, October 23rd from 10am - 5pm in the Newport Ave. Market front parking lot.  We'll be selling cleaned pumpkins for carving, already carved pumpkins of various designs, and even custom carved pumpkins with business logos for the office or storefront. 100% of the proceeds will be going directly to the MountainStar Family Relief Nursery.

October 25, 2010 (Wakefield, RI)- Dennis Moffitt Painting is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Home Makeover Giveaway winner is Adam Aref of Wakefield, RI . There were over 50 entries and 200 votes into this year’s Giveaway.

Adam is a 10 year old boy that has Duchenne Muscular Dystophy. His home is not accommodating for the type of movement he will need in the future. He will not be able to move freely through his own house without major handicap-accessible modifications.

What I Think About When I Think About Leadership

When I think about leadership, I think about two things -- Empathy and Vision. I think why would anybody do what I ask them to do? Why would I give orders and others would follow them. How come some people lead others? Is it that they are smarter than others? Am I smart enough to lead others? Dale Carnegie said “ Create in others an eager want”. If you can get someone to want to do, what you a want, because it’s what they want- That’s leadership; you have lead them to do what you want.
